MIKO FOGARTY BALLET MASTER CLASS

Description

Internationally acclaimed ballet artist and our conservatory director, MIKO FOGARTY, will be having a special Classical Ballet Master Class in the Bay area.  Do not miss this opportunity!

Who Is This for?:  Intermediate ~ advanced ballet students ages 8-20

​

Not A Dancer?  Come Watch for Miko's Variation Class:  Space is very limited on a first-come, first-serve bases. Children 8~14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.  Observer must purchase a ticket before entering the studio.  If you would like to reserve your spot in advance, please contact us.

Cost:  $50/class via online.  No refunds.

            *$5/observer for variation class only.  *Purchasing observer tickets, please make a payment in person on the day of the Master class. Cash/Check only.

Saturday, August 11: 275 Wattis Way, South San Francisco, CA 94080 (Studio 1 at Bay Area Ballet Conservatory)

Sunday, August 12 (SOLD OUT):  1009 South De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129

Time:  

Junior students ages 8-12;  1:00-3:40PM

Senior students ages 13+;  4:00-6:40PM

​

Class Schedule:  90 minutes for barre and center technique, 10 minutes break and 60 minutes for classical variations. Pointe shoes can be worn for the variation class, only if the participant has had at least one year of pointe work.

Classical Variations*:

Junior students:  Blue Bird variation from Sleeping Beauty or Kitri variation from Don Quixote, Act 3.  Bring a fan.

Senior students:  Esmeralda variation or Giselle variation from Act 1.  Bring a tambourine.

*Please note, Variation offerings may be subject to change.

Participant Requirements

Participants must be at least 8 years old by the date of the class.  All students must have achieved an intermediate ~ advanced level of ballet training in order to participate, however, no audition is necessary.  Junior students will bring a fan to learn Kitri variation.  Senior students will bring a tambourine to learn Esmeralda variation.

Space is Limited

We limit the number of participants for each class.  We recommend registering as early as possible to guarantee your spot.
