About the Master Class

Our artistic director, YU XIN, will be teaching a special Adult Ballet Master Class in the Bay Area. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn technique from our own Shanghai Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre alumni!

Who is this for?

Adult ballet students, ages 21+.  This Master class is NOT for absolute beginner students.

​​Suitable for beginner to intermediate students.

​​​​Master Class Schedule (Duration approximately for 3 hours):  

We will spend approximately 1 hour 15 minutes at the barre and in center for practicing classical ballet technique. We will have a 5 minutes break and then we will spend 1 hour 40 minutes for learning and dancing Repertoire** .

Participant Requirements:

Participants must be at least 21 years old by the date of the class. Students must have achieved a beginner level of ballet training or higher in order to participate. This Master Class is NOT for absolute beginner students.  No audition is necessary.  No pointe shoes.

Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 2PM-5PM

Location:

San Jose Dance International/Yu Xin Ballet School studio at 1009 South De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129.  Free parking available.

Cost*:

$150 ($138 tuition + $12 Processing fee).  

*Processing fee of $12 is NOT refundable.  Tuition, $138 is not refundable after November 1, 2025.

COVID POLICIES

San Jose Dance International matches its policies with the Santa Clara County Health Department.  However, masks are optional for all students.  San Jose Dance International requires any students presenting any cold/flu/covid symptoms to stay home.  Registration fee is not refundable for missed master class due to illness, including Covid.
